Swan's Furniture, founded in 1936 by HW Swan in Kearney, Nebraska, expanded to five stores throughout west central Nebraska, including North Platte in 1955. In 1975, manager Claude Evans purchased the store, which still continues to be a family business - now second generation, owned and operated by Don & Kay Lucas.

In 1995, Swan's moved to it's present location at 420 East 4th Street and also opened a warehouse store at 420 West Front Street. Several years ago, Swan's expanded with the addition of a Flexsteel Furniture Gallery.

Our goal is to continue to build customer relationships, to bring new home furnishing products to greater Nebraska, and to maintain an educated, professional staff.
